Introduction
FormantArchiver allows the user to record format feature sequences (frequencies of the first and second formants). To save a single sequence, the user selects "Save fmt". This saves the formant sequence in a file with a .fmt extension, which may be used by the FormantDynamic Time Warping Application Alternative a collection of formant sequences (all representating the same word) may be added to a codebook to be used by the whichWay application. One can also play around with "smoothing" formant sequence, although I would caution the method applied shortens the sequence, thus it may do more harm than good.
